This site is designed to provide Ultimate players with information about games in the Tidewater area of Virginia (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg). Click on the links at left for information about local pick-up games or to contact us.

Norfolk Sunday Pickup is changing once again to 1:00pm.
Check out the pickup page for more details... - Yorktown pickup is now at Tabb High School instead of Tabb Middle. They are re-seeding the fields and have kindly asked us to "STAY OFF". Come out at 5:30.
- Tidewater Ultimate went down to Kudzu with some special guests. Their grit determination and improvisation produced a stellar tournament showing. The showing of the next generation of Tidewater Ultimate (except Gus - because he is old).
- Peninsula Pickup has begun. Thursday's, 5:30PM at Tabb Middle School.
- Black took PUWL's third annual championship title. Orange took a hard loss in the championship game only scoring three points - watch out for those kids next year. Check out the PUWL Website for more details.
- Congratulations to the Orange Team for winning the second annual Peninsula Winter League! Seeded #2 going into the playoffs, Orange managed to avenge two previous losses to #1 Black, including a 17-1 drubbing the week before, and win the championship game 14-12.

- Peninsula Ultimate is putting on the Old Silk Hat Tournament in Williamsburg, VA, on Saturday, December 10th, 2005. It will run from 9AM until 4PM. Online registration and directions are available at the PUWL Website. Entry fee is $15. Bagels, fruit and water will be provided. Hope to see you all there!
- Tidewater Ultimate has an invitation to enter a team in Ultimax, December 3-4 in Greenville, NC, and we need to get a head count of interested players. Email Curtis Consolvo or the TideUlt group if you're interested in playing.
- Due to popular demand, another day of beach ultimate will be played August 13th at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Like last time, we will try to get one or two lined fields setup again in the vicinity of 43nd St. at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Play will begin around 10:00 and run off-and-on until enough people succomb to the temptation of wading in the ocean all day.
- The Peninsula team prevailed in three grueling games in the first ever Tidewater Ultimate Southside vs. Peninsula Challenge, Saturday, August 6th. After losing the first game 13-10, the Peninsulars were down 12-11 in the second game and on the brink of defeat, but managed to score twice to force a deciding game. In the third game, both sides fought through exhaustion and cramps, but in the end the Peninsula team outlasted the Southsiders, 15-11 (or thereabouts). Afterwards everyone headed over to Jill's for beer, burgers and light-up frisbee tossing.
